TONY BRENT(1927 - 1993)
Tony Brent (born Reginald Hogan Bretagne) was a British Tradition Pop Music Singer, most active in the1950s. He scored Seven Top 20 Charts hits in the UK over an almost six year period starting in December 1952. Brent was born of Anglo Indian descent and lived in Byculla, Bombay. Brent became a popular UK based vocalist, having relocated there in 1947. In 1961 he left UK to live in Australia. He owned a succession of Indian food restaurants while maintaining his singing career. Brent died in Sydney at the age of 65 of heart attack in June 1993.His ashes were scattered in Ganges.His singles discography (all UK singles chart) include :
