DIANA KRALL(1964 - PRESENT)

Diana Jean Krall (born November 16,1964) is a Canadian Jazz Pianist and Singer, known for her contralto vocals. She has sold more than 6 million albums in the US and over 15 million albums worldwide. On December 11,2009, Billboard magazine named her the second Jazz artist of the decade (2000 -09), establishing her as one of the best-selling artist of her time. She is active from 1993 to present.
Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debuting at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums. To date she has won three Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards. She has also earned nine gold, three platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums.

TRIVIA:
When I was in Tampa, Florida, USA, in 2002, I was listening to WSJT 94.1 Tampa Bay FM radio station, and the song of Diana Krall "The Look of Lòve" was often broadcasted. Thus I developed a liking for that song and it has now given me an opportunity to recall the bygone days and share it with you all.
It was Tampa Bay. Recently we had shifted from plantation gardens, Pinellas Park to the new house which Uday had purchased in the Country chase. This colony was newly developed, and constructions were still going on. There was a big water body (a sort of a small lake), around which houses were being built. Being a Bay area, many sea gulls, pelicans and cranes were always found near the water body in search of food. Uday's house (no.8512, Tidal Bay Lane) was one of such houses built near the said lake. All around the lake and the open area of the colony was covered with sod. It was green all over and beautiful. In the evening times I used to come out of the house with a chair and sit in the lawn near the lake and keep observing the birds and the beautiful blue sky with innumerable jet plane tracks all over(Tampa had an International Airport).I used to see some birds diving from the sky and hitting the water and suddenly come out with a fish in its beak.It was a wonderful sight to look. I used to spend hours together that way. In the meantime I used to have the transister with me tuned to WSJT 94.1 Station, listening to Smooth Jazz music. The memory is still green in me.
